What We Do Instead
We challenge understanding in different forms.
Example:
If a child solves:
3 × 4 = 12
We then ask:
- What does 4 × 3 represent?
- Can you show it using counters?
- Can you explain it to someone younger?
When they can teach it back, clarity replaces doubt.
